The Fear

Well, I had another post prior to this one, but I deleted it to ditch the spammers. I hate spammers. Especially porn spammers. Like I’m not going to block that crap. Anywho . . .

Lily Allen is back with a new song called “The Fear”. Don’t necessarily agree with the lyrics, as I am not all into money except for survival purposes and few small things here and there, but I do really like the song. Very nice music. I was worried with all her problems over the summer that she would go the way of Ms. Winehouse, but, thank heavens, not at all. If this is any indication of the content of her next album, then I would imagine it will do just as well as her first one.

Nine Years

Well, today is our nine-year wedding anniversary, so “Happy Anniversary, Grant”! It’s been an interesting ride so far and I look forward to continuing it for many, many years to come. May we have, at the very least, nine (times seven) more!!

Piedmont

Well, I made it to and back from Piedmont, OK this weekend rather successfully. I only got lost a few times, so I think I did pretty well. Did I sleep well without my family? No, I did not. Did I have a good time and enjoy hanging out with one of my best buds from my school days? Yes, I did. I was going to mention her name here, but it turns out that her husband thinks I’m a little weird, and probably rightly so, so I don’t want to upset him in any way by putting up her name or his name here. I will just refer to her as “M” and him as “J” if need be.

Anywho, “M” and I talked a great deal about a great many things and it was almost like not much time at all had past since I hung out with her. She is pretty much the same as she has always been . . . head-strong, smart, and inquisitive about things. She has her hands full on a daily basis and I have no idea how she does it, but she is amazing and I look forward to seeing her again.

I think “J” finds me a bit “different”, but, then again, to be fair he doesn’t know me and I do find myself getting interested in strange things from time to time and that might be a bit off-putting to some. Am I perfect? Heck, no. But if my friends ever needed me or needed any kind of help that I could provide, I would be there. I like to help family whenever they need us, I love watching our nieces and nephews (at least I hope I get to watch the new baby soon), I like animals, and I like to learn new things. Not many people dislike me (though there are a few), because I tend to be very helpful, nice, and quiet, but, due to my anxiety disorder, sometimes I have a hard time and feel really awkward around people I don’t already know. Okay . . . enough of that.

Hope all is well in Piedmont today, tomorrow, and always. I’m glad to be back home, as I love my family to pieces and dislike being away from them, but I had a good visit and I would do it again. Have a great week, “M”!!
